Context
A class pooled its traditions, memories and favourite flavours. From comforting soups to indulgent desserts, every recipe tells a story.
Concept
A cover like a laid table. A marble background, pale as a kitchen counter, a cream label with a gold rule, a script title like a restaurant menu, and the book’s broccoli salad illustrated in flat colours.
Logo, colours and type
Marble, cream, chocolate, terracotta and broccoli green: the tones of a sunlit kitchen. A high-contrast script for titles, a round sans-serif for text, and a vertical band matched to the colour of each dish. The chocolate-brown spine is easy to spot on a shelf.
Final result
A recipe page you can read at a glance: a script title, three pictograms for prep, cooking and servings, two columns for ingredients and method, and a full-page illustration facing the text. Recipes from everywhere: Tuscan pasta, herb-grilled lobster, bniwen.
