Concept
The book becomes a playing card. A card back on the front, top-to-bottom symmetry, suits as ornaments: announce the world of the game at first glance, and stay elegant rather than flashy.
Logo, colours and type
A chequer of burgundy and ivory diamonds evokes a card back and casino felt. A large central diamond isolates the title and the author’s name. On the spine the title runs vertically; the back cover, in solid burgundy, lets the blurb breathe.
